Funeral-Bagpiping Wenallt-Thornhill-Crematorium 26th Aug, 2021.
Bagpiping at Thornhill Crematorium today. The Funeral was for a Glasgow born gentleman. In addition, the service took place at Wenallt Chapel.
I stepped into the road as the cortege approached. After that, I led Bagpiping to the chapel entrance. The requested tunes were “The Green Hills of Tyrol”, “The Bonny Banks of Loch Lomond” and “Myfanway”.
After that, I was asked to play as the bearers led into chapel. The selected entry tune was “Danny Boy”. Thereafter, following the service, the family requested “The Skye Boat Song”, “Amazing Grace”, along with, “Queen Elizabeth II Salute”.
In conclusion, our condolences to family and friends.
