Funeral Bagpiping today, for the Funeral of a local lady with Irish connections.
I met the horse drawn carriage by our good friend Simon of Kilvey Carriage Hire South Wales at the cemetery. Then led the walking cortege to the graveside with the tunes. “The Isle of Innisfree”, “The Northern Lights of Old Aberdeen” & “Danny Boy”.
Following the interment, I played “The Cliffs of Duneen”, “When Irish Eyes are Smiling” & a Classical Piobaireachd ‘Salute’.
This was followed by the release of White Doves from Lynne of Lovey Dovey UK The Dove Release Specialists in Wales.
Our Condolences to the family & many mourners, for a very well attended farewell.
