Glaswegian-Funeral-Bagpipes-Fishguard 28th July, 2025.
Funeral Bagpiping yesterday in Fishguard for the service of a Glasgow born Gentleman. The initial service took place at the chapel of rest at Paul Jenkins & Sons Funeral Directors.
On the approach of the cortege, I played the requested: “Flowers of the Forest” & “The Dark Isle”.
As the bearers led into the chapel, I played “Flower of Scotland”. During the chapel departure, I played “Danny Boy”.
Thereafter, I led the cortege & walking mourners the 300mts to the local cemetery, to the tunes: “My Home”, “The Mist Covered Mountains”, “Calon Lan” & “The Bonny Banks of Loch Lomond”.
Following the interment, I played the requested: “Amazing Grace”, accompanied by “Salute to Willie, The Royal Fendersmith” & The Urlar only of “Queen Elizabeth II Salute” (Piobaireachd).
Our sincere condolences to the family & many friends.
Working alongside Paul & his team of Paul Jenkins & Sons Funeral Directors of Fishguard.
