Funeral Bagpiping today at Glyntaff Crematorium Pontypridd. This was for the service of a Lanarkshire born Gentleman with Military connections.
As the cortege approached, I played “My Home” and “The Mist Covered Mountains”. Two tunes played by the massed Pipes & Drums at the Queen Mother’s Funeral in 2002.
The Chapel Entry was to the requested: “Highland Cathedral”. Then for the departure: The requested “The Green Hills of Tyrol” (aka The Scottish Soldier), followed by “The Battle’s O’er” & Queen Elizabeth II Salute ( #Piobaireachd ).
