A thoroughly enjoyable night last night, Bagpiping at Llancarfan Village Hall (Llancarfan) Burns Night, near Cowbridge 🙂
I played many tunes on the internal balcony as guests arrived. The traditional #Haggis #Neeps & #Tatties entry was carried out to “A Man’s a Man for A’ That”, with guests enthusiastically clapping to the beat.
After the Address and Toast, I led out to a rapturous response to “Scotland the Brave”.
Thereafter, as the main course was being served to seated guests, I played a recital of tunes that included: “The High Road to Gairloch” Set, “The Heights of Dargai” Set, Scottish tunes, Welsh tunes, upbeat 6/8 Marches and one of my competition March, Strathspey & Reel (MSR) set’s.
