Llanelli-Crem-Funeral-Bagpipes 2nd Dec, 2024.
Funeral Bagpiping yesterday at Llanelli Crematorium. This was for the service of a Glasgow born lady, who had lived in Wales for many years.
On the approach, I led the cortege to the chapel entrance with: “The Skye Boat Song” & “The Mull of Kintyre”.
The Chapel Entry was to: “Flower of Scotland”. After the committal, I played the first part (Ground/Urlar – Piobaireachd) of “Queen Elizabeth II Salute”.
Thereafter, I met the mourners in the Memorial Garden, playing the requested upbeat “The Blue Bells of Scotland”, “The Bonny Banks of Loch Lomond” & concluding with “Caledonia”, linking back to the Visual Tribute as part of the service where Caledonia was played.
Our Condolences to the family & many many friends.
Working alongside Carey Knox – Independent Funeral Celebrant Wales & good friend of the deceased. Also working once again with the very professional David & his team of St. James Funeral Home Swansea
