Funeral Bagpiping today at Llanveynoe Church (St Peter & Beunos) Herefordfordshire. This was for a Scots lady who was born in Livingstone.
As mourners arrived I played a number of tunes, continuing as the cortege approached. Tune requests included: “The Dark Isle”, “Flowers of the Forest”, “Scotland the Brave”, “The Rowan Tree”, “Danny Boy” & “The Northern Lights of Old Aberdeen”.
The Church Entry was to: “Flower of Scotland”.
After the church service, I waited at the graveside and played “Amazing Grace” for the interment.
Thereafter, I played requested tunes as mourners moved back to their cars. These tunes included: “Field of Gold” (Piobaireachd- Urlar), “The Mull of Kintyre”, “The Skye Boat Song”, “The Massacre of Glencoe” & “The Bonny Banks of Loch Lomond”.
Our Sincere Condolences to the family & many many mourners. Working once again with Kate & her team of Cherished Funerals of Longtown Hereford.
