An honour today, Bagpiping for the Memorial Service of a Newport lady, with historical Scots links. The service took place at Cwmbran Crematorium . As mourners entered the chapel I played “Amazing Grace”. In addition, to “Sleep Dearie, Sleep”.
Most importantly, at the end of the service, the Special tune for mourners assembling in the the memorial garden was “Going Home”. This was accompanied by “The Massacre of Glencoe” & “Myfanwy”.
Thereafter, I then proceeded to the Croesyceiliog Cricket And Rugby Club to play a multitude of Welsh & Scottish tunes. This was as mourners arrived for the Wake.
Moreover, my participation concluded with “Flower of Scotland”, “Cwm Rhondda” & other Welsh & Scots tunes.
In conclusion, our thoughts are with the family & many friends.
