Funeral Bagpiping today at the family’s home address and Holy Family Church in Patchway near Bristol.
This was for the service of a lady with Scots & Irish links. I played from the family home to the requested: “The Mull of Kintyre”.
For the arrival of mourners at the Church, I played: “The Blue Bells of Scotland”, “The Isle of Innisfree”, “The Massacre of Glencoe” & “The Ladies of the Alamo”.
As the coffin was moved into the church, I played “Amazing Grace”.
After the service, as mourners departed, I played: “When Irish Eyes are Smiling”, “The Skye Boat Song”, “Highland Cathedral” & a repeat of “Amazing Grace”.
