Penmark-Village-Funeral-Bagpipes 2nd July, 2024.

Funeral Bagpiping today at St. Mary’s Church, Penmark,  Vale of Glamorgan. This was for the Funeral of a local Gentleman with Scots & Welsh connections.

I was asked to lead the walking procession of pall bearers through the village, from a former family home to the entrance of the church. The requested tunes included: “The Green Hills of Tyrol” & “The Battle’s O’er”.

The Church Entry was to “Flower of Scotland”.

After the service, I met the cortege outside of the church and led to the graveside with “Myfanwy”, “Calon Lan” & “The Mist Covered Mountains”.

After the interment and during placement of flowers, I played the requested “Scotland the Brave”, “The Rowan Tree”, along with “Queen Elizabeth II Salute” & “Salute to Willie, The Royal Fendersmith”.

Our Condolences to the many family & friends.
