Penybont-CareHome-Abertillery-Bagpipes 20th Jan, 2026.

A return visit and thoroughly enjoyable afternoon today, Bagpiping at Pen-Y-Bont Care Home in Abertillery

I paraded along corridors on 3 floors and entered the lounge rooms playing many tune sets.

I played many melodies that included Scottish & Welsh tunes that residents enjoyed and sang along to.

A few tears in some cases as residents found some of the well known tunes quite emotional. It was an honour chatting with some of the residents.

Thank you Mandy for asking us along again and to the other staff for making us so welcome. John & Louise
