Sirhowy-Valley-Funeral-Bagpipes 26th June, 2024.

A return visit to Sirhowy Valley Crematorium today, Bagpiping for the Funeral of a local Gentleman with a love of Scotland.

On the approach to the Crematorium Chapel I played the requested: “Flowers of the Forest” with “Land of My Fathers”.

The requested entry tune was “Going Home”.  After the committal, I played a short ‘Salute’ from the classical Bagpiping style called Piobaireachd. This was the Ground/Urlar of “Queen Elizabeth II Salute”.

At the end of the service, I led mourners into the Memorial Garden with “The Rose”, “Calon Lan” & “Myfanwy”.

Our Condolences to the family & many friends.
