Solo Bagpiping Glenfiddich Championships, 27th October, 2018.  The 45th Competition took place at Blair Atholl Castle near Pitlochry.  The event hosts the top 10 Bagpipers in the world for 2018.  Therefore, entry is by invitation only.  Similarly, this is determined by qualifying contests throughout the year.  The competition consists of the classical Piobaireachd to start.  In addition, the March, Strathspey & Reel (MSR) follows.  The performers submit 7 of each tune.  However,  the competitors only find out which tunes to play just before the competition begins.  In conclusion, congratulations to Finlay Johnston, overall winner.   Photo by Derek Maxwell.
