StJohns-Llanhennoch-Funeral-Bagpipes 14th Feb, 2025.
Funeral Bagpiping today at St. John’s Church in Llanhennoch near Newport. This was for the service of a Yorkshire born Gentleman, who lived locally & had previous Military Service with the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders.
My brief was to play a multitude of tunes as mourners assembled, many with Military Connections.
I then led the cortege from the hearse to the Church Door with the requested: “Flowers of the Forest”.
After the service, I led the procession to the gravesite with the requested “Amazing Grace”. After the interment, the connecting tunes were “My Home” & “The Mist Covered Mountains”, concluding with a Piobaireachd Salute.
