Bagpiping at Thornhill Cemetery today. This was for the Interment of a Cardiff based Gentleman.
I met the cortege & led to the grave Bagpiping. Tunes selected were “Oft in the Stilly Night” with “The Isle of Innisfree”. The tunes reflected the family’s Irish connections.
In addition, for the burial, I played the requested “Danny Boy”. After the service, I played “When Irish Eyes are Smiling”. This was completed in two musical keys. In conclusion, I finished with a Piobaireachd Lament. Our Condolences to the family & friends.
