A Real Pleasure Yesterday Bagpiping for Sam & Becca’s Wedding at St. Mary’s Church in Rogiet Caldicot
As a complete surprise, I stepped into the road as the Groom, Groom’s Father & Groomsmen walked to the church from the home address, as I played : 3/4 Marches.
On arrival at the church I was asked to play “The Gael” from Last of the Mohicans.
I continued to play for arriving guests & included requested tunes: “Calon Lan”, “Land of My Fathers”, “Highland Cathedral” & “The Rose”. This also included “Happy Birthday” for the Groom’s uncle.
As the Bride approached with her proud Father, I was asked to play “The Bridal March”.
During the Register Signing, I played two Braveheart tunes: “She Moved Through the Fair” & “For the Love of a Princess”.
After the ceremony departure & initial church photos, I was asked to play “Amazing Grace” as a tribute to a family member buried in the St. Mary’s churchyard.
Thereafter, I moved to the Caldicot Choir Hall where the Reception was held and played many tunes as guests arrived. On arrival of the Bride & Groom, I led into the hall with requested “Last of the Mohicans” (The Gael) & to a rapturous response with “Scotland the Brave”
Congratulations to Sam & Becca. It was an honour to be part of your Very Special Day
