Ysgol-BaeBaglan-School-Remembrance 12th Nov, 2024.

Remembrance Service Bagpiping today at Ysgol Bae Baglan School near Port Talbot.
At the set time, I played as classes assembled in the playground with a multitude of tunes, that included: “My Home”, “The Mist Covered Mountains”, “Highland Cathedral”, “Calon Lan” & “Myfanwy”.

For the laying of wreaths & crosses by the School Children, I played “Oft in the Stilly Night”.

After the two Buglers’ played the “Reveille”, I played “Land of My Fathers” with singing accompaniment by all Dignitaries, Staff & Pupils.

As the parade disbanded, I then played: “Sleep, Dearie Sleep”, “Flowers of the Forest”, “The Dark Isle” & “Salute to Willie, The Royal Fendersmith”.

Thank You to Veteran & Deputy Head Mark, for the invite & school hospitality. An extremely well organised & well attended service with 1400 pupils. 🙂
